These seminars have been developed for individuals
who would like to benefit from a
Target Learning
seminar but are unable to attend our (in-person)
programs. Our online seminars will provide you
much of the same information offered through
our on-site seminars. But that doesn't mean
you'll be stranded in a sea of information.
Our online seminars are completely
interactive
and allow you to "talk" with one of our instructors
at any time during the program. After all, at
Target Learning we always show you how to learn
more efficiently and effectively using your
preferred learning and thinking style. So if
the techniques we present in the seminar don't
make sense, or you feel they don't fit your
particular way of thinking, let us know and
we'll respond within 48 hours with specific
learning strategies that fit your style.
How it Works
Once you enroll, you will receive 24/7 online
access to the seminar through any Internet connection
(we will provide you with a username and password).
The seminar is entirely self-paced and you will
have access to the program (and a Target Learning
instructor) for 6 months.
This seminar doesn't contain any flashy graphics
or animation so your seminar pages will appear
fast, and printing a page will be quick and
easy. Think of it like buying a book and having
a direct communication link with the author
if any questions arise.
The Benefit
Our students have
reported that our learning techniques seem effortless
when applied. In reality, the techniques just
seem easy because they were using their most
natural (and therefore most comfortable) way
to learn and apply information. Therefore, if
after completing one of our online seminars
(and applying our strategies), you don't feel
the same way, please let us know which techniques
simply don't work for you. We will be happy
to provide you with free advice even after
you complete the seminar.

Reading for Business
- Online:
A
Web-Based Seminar
- $35
The reading methods we learned as children
were designed to help us comprehend
highly structured materials, in a predictable
and controlled learning environment.
But as working adults, we are faced
with volumes of complex, poorly structured
reading material. Combine this
with work and family responsibilities,
and that 20-page chapter in your school
textbook becomes pleasure-reading.
This online seminar will show you how
to use your
preferred learning and thinking style
to read all types of material efficiently
and effectively. Specifically,
you will learn how to:
●
Improve your critical reading and thinking
skills
●
Improve
your concentration skills while reading
●
Increase
your overall reading speed
●
Improve
your overall comprehension
●
Find
key information quickly
●
Decipher
complex reading material
●
Develop
time management plans for your reading
assignments
●
Ensure

Target Reading for College - Online:
A Web-Based Seminar
- $25
What is the very first thing you usually
do once you're given a reading assignment
in a textbook? Do you count the number
of pages to read, and silently grumble
about the teacher who assigned that
many pages? Next, do you look to see
how many pictures and graphs are in
the chapter, because that means fewer
words on a page?
If so, you have already made college
reading more difficult. Instead of looking
for key information that might be on
a future test - or helpful for a research
paper - you tend to approach the reading
as a major chore, something to get out
of the way. This is called "passive
reading" and it always leads to daydreaming,
nodding off, and what we call "page
amnesia" (when you read an entire page
then instantly forget what you just
read). This is not efficient reading,
and definitely not effective reading.
In this seminar we will show you how
to make college reading easy through
a variety of flexible techniques that
conform to your
preferred learning and thinking style.
Specifically, you will learn how to:
●
Read textbooks faster with better comprehension,
retention and recall
●
Improve your concentration while reading
(avoid daydreaming)
●
Take concise and useful notes while
reading
●
Find the type of information that will
be on future tests
●
Shorten amount of time required to complete
a reading assignment
●
Read all types of information more critically
●
Quickly and accurately find key information
in all types of materials

Target Learning online seminars coming soon
to a computer near you...
Target Memory - Online
●
Understand how short and long-term memory works
●
Learn how to recall "lost" memories
●
Learn how to lock new information into your
long-term memory
●
Learn how to improve your concentration skills
Most memory improvement programs tend to provide
generic (one-size-fits-all) techniques that
work for some, but not for everyone. This online
seminar does not involve complex mnemonics or
even those tedious association drills. Instead,
you will learn how to use your own personal
learning strengths to improve your short and
long-term memory.
Target Thinking - Online
●
Learn how to think quickly and clearly under
pressure
●
Learn how to develop creative and extraordinary
ideas from ordinary information
●
Learn how to critically assess the value of
new and old information
●
Learn how to think outside "the box"
Many creative thinking programs require elaborate
formulas and multiple steps to "open" a person's
mind to alternative possibilities. For some,
this approach can be very effective, but it
is not always very efficient. For others, following
complex formulas or taking numerous steps to
reach a creative thought is a bit overdone -
not to mention it takes all the fun out of being
creative. There's nothing fancy or exclusionary
about being creative, it's not reserved for
artists or special people. Creativity is a part
of everyone's natural cognitive process but
since everyone thinks differently (based on
genetics, background, environment, personality,
etc.) you need to take advantage of your own
personal way of thinking to stir those creative
juices. This online seminar will help you recognize
and exploit your natural learning strengths
to become a more critical and creative thinker
in all aspects of your life.
